underweightHater  2008-03-26 20:04:57 i approach it like this: would you blame the drug dealer or the drug addicts for drugs in the neighborhood? to fit with your analogy the "artist" is the drug, the producer is the dealer, and the consumers are the addicts. we like to blame the dealer because its one person we can focus our anger on, but the buyers are really generating the business. you cant sell what nobody buys. LOTS of musicians and products fail. WE buy the crap. economically we are the puppet masters. __________________________________________________

But also as equally as unfortunate is that there is a market for such material. So can we blame ourselves for our continued fascination with these types of products, artists and television shows, or do we blame the people that bring it to us? If the Flavor of Love didn't get high ratings, it would have been canceled and the Bratz would have gone the way of the dinosaur. __________________________________________________
