AarmOZ ::: Favorites 2008-01-13 20:59:34 Did God have trouble deciding the practice of marrige for the saints in 1831 or did Joseph get caught in adultry and used plural marriage as a device to sanctify it? We do know Joseph Smith's second wife was a helper for Emma Smith. __________________________________________________ | |
AarmOZ ::: Favorites 2008-01-13 20:57:33 I did research on polygamy and the early church. Docturine & Convinenants 42:22-23 sates that the saints were to practice monagamy (required law of saints). Church Historians said this revolation was in 1831. D&C 132 covers celestial marriage and permits polygamy. According to Church history... while the revolation was written in 1843, Joseph Smith claimed he recived it in 1831! __________________________________________________ |
