64blackbird92 ::: Favorites 2007-11-16 00:05:30 HAH. *Now* he mentions not traveling during the heat of the day. Though I guess the real example of why you don't do that (Bear wandering around THROUGH NOON and complaining of intense heat) will fly over people's heads. At least he doesn't spread the falsehood that OMGZ YOU GONNA DROWNZ IN TEH QUICKSANDS. __________________________________________________

yikestripes ::: Favorites 2007-11-19 00:02:11 That's the best looking quicksand I've seen in years. Good work, Bear! __________________________________________________
AdigunPolack ::: Favorites 2007-11-19 19:37:05 You know, to be honest, I am *quite* fascinated by how Bear Grylls deals with and overcomes quicksand and soft, sucking mud pits like this one. And I most definitely agree on what he said about it, too, especially on 1) the truth that a human body is twice as buoyant in it than in water alone; and 2) the fact that one has to relax in this creamy mud and *very* slowly swim out safely rather than thrash around and around... and most quicksands will let you do this, too. ^-^ ! __________________________________________________
Edwinvosje ::: Favorites 2007-11-20 08:59:10 Let's jump through the desert and climb trees, but though you need 10 litres of water a day, but you can also do it just sucking on cold rocks. __________________________________________________
