weschrama ::: Favorites Sure, the battle of Szack was patriotic, aren't nearly all battles of this kind? I just think they didn't regard it part of their 'Great Patriotic War', which I think was saving their Motherland from the Nazistic 'swines'. And although I haven't got any truly reliable sources on this, apart from my encyclopaedias, I've got the fact it says '1941-1945' in favour. :P 07-08-18 16:13:42 _____________________________________________________
weschrama ::: Favorites I think the "Second W o r l d War" started when the war was fought not just on the Eurasian plate anymore but all over the world. Before, I think, you can't call it 'World' War. Just my opinion, I'm sorry I stated it as if it were a fact. 07-08-18 16:13:21 _____________________________________________________
kprzewozny ::: Favorites so, battle for Szack wasn't "Patriotic"? and I don't agree with you in that "The Second World War started the same date for everyone", becouse for Germans, Poles and Slovakians it started in 01.09.1939, for Soviets it was 17.09.1939 etc. 07-08-18 07:53:59 _____________________________________________________

weschrama ::: Favorites -cont.- I don't know, but I guess the Great Patriotic War started off with 'Operation Barbarossa': Sunday 22 june 1941. 07-08-18 05:06:10 _____________________________________________________
weschrama ::: Favorites The Second World War started the same date for everyone, but the Russians I think celebrate winning the 'Great Patriotic War', which is just the fight between Germany and the USSR. The Russians, I think, don't regard the fights with Poland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in '39 nor the Winter War (if that's what you refer to it like in English) against Finland in '39-'40 part of their 'Great Patriotic War'. -cont.- 07-08-18 05:05:27 _____________________________________________________
kprzewozny ::: Favorites The title is "Songs of war years". For Soviet Union 2.WW started in 17.09.1939, not in 22.06.1941. Soviet soldiers fought and died during battle of Grodno(20-22.09.39),battle for Szack(28.09.39)or other battles. Was it 2.WW or wasn't? 07-08-17 16:29:30 _____________________________________________________
weschrama ::: Favorites I think the 'Great Patriotic War' started 1941, unlike the Second World War. Something to do with Hitler and Stalin promising not to attack Poland and both doing so or something? I'm not too sure, though, should've paid more attention with History lessons.. 07-08-17 14:18:13 _____________________________________________________
warfanatic45 ::: Favorites not bad not bad yay for russia brign the soviet union back 07-08-16 23:08:28 _____________________________________________________ |
